Christmas Cookie Exchange
Rach opted for an all black BB Dakota dress, black tights, and Sam Edelman heels! The dress was from one of our favorite boutiques close to campus called CJane, but you can find the dress here! For a pop of holiday cheer, Rach added a red lip in her favorite Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil color Cruella. Kenn opted for a rose blouse turned dress (perks of being 5’3”) with opaque tights and taupe booties. Kenn paired this with a dark lip of her favorite formula, Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lip in color Chianti. The outfit was from Nordstrom and can be found here!
The cookie exchange was hosted at the Champions Golf Club and each mother/daughter pair brought 23 packages of three of the same cookies to exchange. Everyone placed their packages in a bag, enjoyed a nice glass of prosecco, and at the end of the luncheon we all got to bring a bag home full of more cookies than we can handle! This get together is perfect for the holiday season because you get so many types of cookies to try without having to make huge batches yourself. If you have a group of friends who have been wanting to do this for a while we definitely recommend it! You can even freeze the cookies and pull them out for a late night snack after the holidays or for a sweet treat on New Years Eve.
Rach and her mom made chocolate snowflake crackle cookies, and Kenn and her mom made hershey kiss peanut butter cookies! Both were definitely a hit, and we most definitely had to refrain from eating wayy too many. We will be posting later this week tips on how we find the balance between eating healthy but enjoy the holiday splurge, so stay posted! For this particular case, we both gave ourselves a two cookie limit and paired it with Halo so we still felt the “full dessert effect!”
T-minus 7 days until Christmas!! Hope yall had a great Monday!
Cheers, Kenn and Rach
