First Day of School

First day of school jitters are definitely a legitimate thing, and we both know we aren’t the only two who get them. Who are you going to sit by in class? Will your professor be nice? Is the class going to be hard? All of these questions are constantly running through your head as you nervously fall asleep the night before, but the good thing is it always works out (trust us we’ve got 14 ½ years experience)! With each semester the jitters seem to slow down, and the nervous butterflies flutter away. There become more familiar faces in each class and knowing your way around campus seems to get easier and easier.

This semester (our third to last semester) we got lucky and our first day of school was delayed a day due to the cold weather we had here in Austin. Our balcony was actually covered in ice and we got a little bit of snow that stuck till this morning! Honestly, it seemed like the whole city shut down yesterday, yet we truly proved our obsession with fro yo by venturing out in the freezing (yes...it was 26 degrees) to celebrate the extra day off!

Unfortunately we don’t have any classes together this semester, quite different than our first two years here on the 40 acres, but we love sharing our professor stories and interesting facts we read in our texts. Rach’s courses consist of two marketing classes, international business, and an elective as she heads toward a marketing degree and minor in … well she’s not really sure yet (who ever really knows what they want to do in life). Kennedi’s courses consist of sports marketing, business marketing, consulting management, and business law as she heads towards a degree in both sports management and management consulting.

Our calendars are full and our syllabi are color coded as we prepare to work towards our 4.0 goal. We are excited to get back into the swing of school and get to know new people in our classes as the semester progresses! We can’t wait to keep y’all updated as the semester goes into full swing.

Cheers, Kenn and Rach
